When your mission demands more than the average vessel, Tideman Marine delivers.
We build high-performance HDPE workboats in the USA that are virtually indestructible, low-maintenance, and ready to take on the toughest conditions—day after day, year after year.
From law enforcement to port operations, offshore wind, and aquaculture, our boats are designed for professionals who don’t cut corners—and neither do we.
We’re not just building boats—we’re solving problems on the water.
Our hulls are made from HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), a rugged, recyclable material that’s corrosion-proof. That means less maintenance, less downtime, and more time getting the job done.
Headquartered in North Andover, MA, with manufacturing capabilities in Ocala, FL and Neenah, WI, we proudly serve clients across North America with fast lead times, custom configurations, and unmatched durability.
Whether you need a patrol boat, a dive platform, or a utility vessel for unpredictable waters—we make boats that work as hard as you do.
HDPE boats are resistant to high impacts, they are sledgehammer tough and create a marine vessel that is smart and long lasting.
HDPE is less dense than water (.93 – .97g/cm3), rest assured your HDPE boat will stay afloat even in the toughest conditions.
HDPE features zero corrosion, electrolysis, or delamination, and is easily maintained.
HDPE offers superior impact and vibration absorption, reducing personnel fatigue out on the water.
HDPE is low-maintenance and does not corrode or rot. Its impact resistance and UV-stabilized structure ensure long-lasting performance in harsh marine environments.
Family tradition runs deep. The fascination with boats began with Bruno Joannes Tideman (1834 – 1883), a Dutch shipbuilder who founded modern shipbuilding in The Netherlands. His innovative ideas earned him a Royal decoration. This Bruno’s life work would inspire many more Brunos to follow in the workboat and shipbuilding industry.
History continues with Tideman Boats, founded by Bruno Tideman—a dreamer of boats, a boatman at heart, and a workboat designer constantly creating. If you visit Amsterdam, Bruno will likely show you around personally!
In 2006, Bruno Tideman started the company by designing and building the perfect fast and durable workboat for rough environments. Seven years later, he introduced the virtually indestructible Tideman Rigid Buoyancy Boat (RBB), featuring a 100% HDPE hull design. The Tideman Boats RBB has a service life much longer than competing boats, has a low carbon footprint, and is 100% recyclable.
Since formally beginning production and delivery of HDPE workboats in 2013, European organizations such as Damen, BP, Boskalis, and Astaldi have been utilizing Tideman Boats for their clients and marine operations.
Until recently, Tideman boats have not been available in the US. Whether you need an open center console layout or a cabin boat, whether a diesel outboard or gas inboard/outboard propulsion, a Tideman Marine boat will provide you with a solid workboat built with an HDPE hull.
Tideman Marine boats are manufactured in the USA in a thermoplastic welding fabrication facility that has been designing, manufacturing, and providing high-impact solutions for many industries, including fire, marine, and aquaculture, since 1986. The two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities have the latest cutting, routing, welding, and testing equipment.
Tideman Marine is proud to continue the legacy and tradition of Tideman in North America. Tideman Marine goes beyond the “Built to Last” workboats established by Tideman. We will deliver custom-designed and fabricated hulls and other innovative components to the marine industry. From innovative boat rubrail fendering to custom marine vessels and structures, Tideman Marine provides HDPE solutions that can withstand the abuse of the marine environment.
